Donating to Initiative
As a community-based, non-profit organization, Initiative
for Affordable Housing relies in part on the contributions of funds, time
and the talents of its volunteers and donors. Listed below are many ways
you can have a direct impact on the work of Initiative.
Donating Money
• $500 will pay for 6 weeks of child care
for a child in the Initiative program.
• $250 will pay for a participant to attend
a computer course to increase marketable job skills.
• $100 will pay for 2 counseling sessions
for a program participant.
• $50 will pay for supplies for participants’ classes
on job readiness, financial management or home management.
• $25 will pay for a MARTA card for a participant to get to and from work for the first two weeks in the Initiative program.

• holiday decorations
Initiative is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Public/Private
Grants
Initiative routinely applies for and receives a wide variety of grants
from private foundations and public grant-making bodies to achieve
its unique mission of providing social services and affordable
